Drs. Jay & Heidi Dworkin
Dr. Jay Dworkin is currently a partner in Southern Connecticut Dental Group in Ansonia & Southbury as well as Big Smiles Pediatric Dentistry of Milford. He is a member of the American Dental Association and a past president of Naugatuck Valley Dental Society and Southbury Business Association. Jay held the position of president of Hebrew Congregation of Woodmont in the early ’90s. He is involved in local Jewish institutions and has served on the board of the Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven, the Jewish Federation, and Ezra Academy. Dr. Heidi Gold-Dworkin earned her PhD from Yale in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. She is the founder and CEO of Little Scientists, a hands-on approach to teaching science to children. She was part of the Nobel Prize winning team in 1989 and was chosen as a Woman of Innovation by the CT Technology Council in 2015. Dr. Heidi has been a professor, curriculum developer, consultant, and teacher, as well as the author of numerous children’s books. She has been elected to the Milford Board of Education and is a past board member of the JCC and Camp Laurelwood. Both Jay andHeidi served as co-chairs of the Jewish Federation's Young Leadership Group. They have been married for 29 years and are proud to be the parents of Aviva, Olivia, and Robbie.
