There are two kosher eateries in New Haven (under the supervision of the Vaad Hakashrus of Fairfield), about 25 minutes from Chabad:

Shoprite in Milford carries many kosher items. Shoprite in Hamden (about 35 minutes from Chabad) has an extensive line of kosher dairy foods (milk, yogurts, cheeses) as well as Glatt kosher meats.
