It’s been an intense year with war and threats against Israel and Jewish people worldwide. We’ve all had our hearts broken by the pain and hate, but we also discovered how connected we are and the power and strength we can draw from each other when we stand together.
And now we’re asking you to stand in that power and strength to “Be the Jew you want to see in the world.”
Join us, and so many incredible community members, in growing and sustaining our special community as we launch our annual campaign to raise $136,000.
Because when we build a strong, thriving Jewish community right here, we are continuing a close to 100-year history here in Milford and sending a message to all those who stand against us that we’re not going anywhere. Our Judaism is alive, growing, and thriving.
Like one of our members, Joyce says, “This synagogue is the most warm, welcoming, unconditionally loving and accepting place that I've ever been in." Or Nancy, who happened to drive by the public menorah lighting last year on the Milford Green and felt compelled to join. “If you told me a year ago that I’d attend the First Friday at Chabad every month, I would have said, Who are you talking about?? But I really love being part of the Jewish community in Milford where I live now. I was craving connection, and I found it here.”
This past year has brought in so many new people who are seeking to connect Jewishly, sometimes for the first time in decades, and your support means they’ll have the opportunities to do just that.
When you show up to support us this season, you support First Friday Shabbat dinners, holiday programs, social events, BLT-bagels, lox, tefillin monthly gatherings, Rosh Chodesh Society classes, monthly lunch & learn sessions, Jewish Women's Circle, community lectures, Jewish Kids' Club, JLI classes, weekly minyan and Kiddush, Project Dignity, chaplaincy services, and more in Milford, West Haven, and Stratford.
Chabad doesn’t charge any membership because, like you, we believe that you shouldn't have to pay to pray. You already belong. You’re a member of the Jewish tribe.
